An Email-based user is someone you add into the platform and who can then register their account by creating a password especially for the MyCompliance Cloud site.

A Federated user is when SSO has been set up. Once SSO has been configured, the end user can enter their email address into the 'Email' field. This will redirect to the organisation’s Single Sign-on page. 

From here, the end user can input their network credentials to enter the MyCompliance platform.
