Update to Google Workspace User Provisioning in MyCompliance
Improved User Update Processes (Google Workspace)
We’ve made an important improvement to how MyCompliance processes user updates from Google Workspace.
Previously, updates (such as changes to user information) were processed immediately. However, due to delays in how Google propagates these updates internally, this often resulted in inconsistencies or out-of-sync data for user accounts in MyCompliance.
To resolve this, we've updated our provisioning logic to introduce a short delay. Now, instead of applying updates instantly, any user changes from Google Workspace are placed into a queue and processed approximately 5 minutes later. This allows time for Google Workspace to complete its internal updates, ensuring MyCompliance receives the most accurate and up-to-date information.
What does this mean for you?
- Improved user experience: Updates now appear correctly and consistently, without needing full re-syncs.
- Previous inconsistencies will need to be updated: This update will only apply to new user updates moving forward. Any previous data inconsistencies will be out of date and must still be updated manually.
