Privacy Assessment Generator: What happens when I generate a Privacy Assessment to a record owner?

Privacy Assessment Notification Process

When a Privacy Assessment has been generated for a record owner or creator, they will receive an email notification informing them that they have an assessment awaiting review.

Single Assessment Notification

  • If only one assessment has been generated for the owner/creator, they will receive the email shown below (which can be customised if required).
  • A Privacy Assessment will then be generated and will appear within Step 2 of the Program and will also be accessible via the end user's 'My Privacy Assessment' tile.

  • Within the email, clicking the 'Review Privacy Assessment' button will direct the user, after logging in, straight to the Privacy Assessment (or Summary View), where they can review the questions and responses.

Multiple Assessments Notification

  • If more than one assessment has been generated for the owner/creator, they will receive a different version of the email (also customisable).
  • Upon login, clicking the 'Review Privacy Assessments' button will navigate the user directly to the 'My Privacy Assessments' tile, which will display a list of outstanding assessments that need to be reviewed.

  • From there, owners can select and access each review by clicking the 'View Assessment' or 'View Summary' buttons located in the 'Actions' column.
