Updating a course on behalf of the end user
Supporting End Users with Course Completion
To support end users complete their assigned courses, Admins have several available actions, including:
- Marking a course as complete on behalf of an user
- Resetting a course to allow the user to retake it if necessary
Mark Audit Completed
The Mark Audit Completed feature allows Admins to record course completion for users who have completed their training outside of the MyCompliance platform. This option is available for both Fusion and SCORM courses published within MyCompliance.
Using this option confirms that the user has fully completed the course through an alternative method. This is especially helpful when users experience technical issues that prevent them from finishing the course online.
To use this feature:
- Navigate to Reporting → Learning → Overview.
- Locate the course you wish to update within the Total Course Completion section.
- Click View Audits.
- Next, locate the required user and scroll to the Actions column.
- Select Mark Audit Completed next to the relevant user.
- A confirmation message will appear. Select Confirm to proceed.
⚠️ Important Note for Fusion Courses with Multiple Languages
If the course has multiple language versions, the Admin must select the language in which the user completed the course.
This ensures that if the user revisits the course later, it will only be available in the selected language.
What Happens Next?
Once Mark Audit Completed has been applied:
- A Completion Audit is assigned to the user.
- Email reminders are stopped.
- The Completion Date is updated to reflect the date of this action.
Ensure you refresh the browser page to view the updates reflected on the table.
⚠️ This action cannot be performed in bulk. An admin must locate and update each user individually.
Reset Audit
If required, the Admin can resend a course to a user so they can retake it.
To use this feature:
- Navigate to Reporting → Learning → Overview.
- Locate the course you wish to update in the Total Course Completion section.
- Click View Audits.
- Next, locate the required user and scroll to the Actions column.
- For the required user, select Reset Audit to proceed.
- A confirmation message will now be displayed. Click Confirm to proceed.
What Happens After Reset?
Once Confirm has been selected:
- The course becomes available again for the user to complete.
- If email notifications are enabled for the course, they will be sent at the next scheduled dispatch time (typically around 8 a.m. GMT the following morning).
- For MetaEngage courses, the updated course will appear the next time the user logs on.
