Campaign Templates explained and how to use them

The MetaCompliance Campaign Templates have been designed to help you communicate key training to your users on an ongoing basis.

We recommend that you follow a consistent approach with your Awareness campaign. Therefore, the templates contain a range of Fusion courses and simulated phishing emails.

Our 'best practice' recommendation is to send a course covering a different topic each month to all staff and then follow this up with a simulated phish.

To view the available templates:

  • Navigate to Campaigns > Campaign Templates.  (To use any of these templates, please speak to your MetaCompliance representative.)

How to use this and publish the campaign:

Step 1: Preview the Template

  • Before using the template, you can preview all steps by selecting Preview Template within the Campaign Template table.

  • You can then preview each step within the Flowbuilder view by navigating to your chosen step and selecting Preview Content.
  • ⚠️ Note: Only Phish and Fusion courses can be previewed using this method.

  • After updating the Name and Description, click Confirm to create your new campaign from the selected template.

Step 3: Configure and Schedule the Campaign

  • Once created, your campaign will be available for scheduling. Depending on the Step order, you may notice that steps appear reversed (newest to oldest). However, once you assign your preferred dates, they will automatically revert to the correct order.

  • Add or remove any steps as needed, then assign a release date to each.
  • For course steps, the default email notification is assigned; however, this can be edited as required.

  • After updating the campaign steps, navigate to the Target tab to select the required users.
  • To launch the campaign, click Publish Changes.
  • At this point, the campaign is now live, and the first step will be sent on your specified date and time.
