MyCompliance Slack Application
Feature Overview
To help end users stay on top of their assigned courses, surveys, and policies, you can now send Slack notifications directly through the MyCompliance platform. This feature ensures users are promptly alerted when content requires their attention.
How It Works
- When a notification is triggered, users receive a direct message in Slack containing a link to the assigned content.
- Clicking the link will open the content in the MyCompliance platform.
- If the user is not signed in, they will be prompted to log in first. After authentication, they will be automatically redirected to the relevant content.
Requirements
- SSO must be enabled on the MyCompliance tenant.
- Users must have the Slack app installed to receive notifications.
- Prior access to the MyCompliance Slack App is not required for notifications to be delivered.
Reminders
- Slack notifications will be sent in addition to email reminders until the assigned content is completed.
Language Support
- Notifications and reminders can be delivered in the user’s preferred language, ensuring accessibility and clarity.
Technical Pre-requisites
Permissions
Please make sure the following permissions are enabled:
- Access to content and information about your workspace
- Ability to view people in your workspace
- Ability to view email addresses of people in your workspace
Data
To allow the app to connect and interact with users, we need the following data:
- Workspace Access Token
- Slack ID (stored only for the user who installed the app)
- Email Address (already available within MyCompliance)
Restrictions
- Notifications for content linked to a Campaign are not currently available.
- If you have multiple MyCompliance tenants hosted across different regions, this app won’t be compatible.
