What is Virtual Presenter?
To be effective, training needs to be engaging. Many companies need to deliver training across multiple regions and cultures, requiring content that resonates with diverse audiences rather than generic materials. While MetaCompliance can create customised intros, this process traditionally takes time.
Virtual Presenter enables admins to create short intro videos within the platform, bespoke to their needs and environment. These videos use digital avatars to deliver personalised messages to end users, making training more engaging and culturally relevant.

How to Create a Virtual Presenter Video
Navigate to Learning > Virtual Presenter, then follow these steps:
1. Initial Setup
- Click Create New Video.
- Enter a name and description for your video.
- Choose your default language, i.e. the language in which you'll write the script.
- Select the language variants you want to generate.
2. Avatar Customisation
- Click Avatar Customisation.
- Filter by Avatar Appearance options to find suitable presenters.
- Click Select on your chosen actor.
- A Voice Style will be recommended in line with the avatar selected however can be changed as required.
- Preview the avatar voices from the drop-down menu.
- Choose your preferred voice actor.
3. Script Creation
- Enter your script (up to 5000 characters for the default language).
- Keep it concise and focused on your main message.
- For best results:
- Spell out numbers (e.g., "twenty-five" instead of "25").
- Use phonetic spelling for tricky pronunciations (e.g., "day-ta" for "data").
- Use '+Pause' to add a one-second pause between words for clarity.
- Select Preview Audio to hear your avatar and adjust as needed before finalising.
4. Branding Elements
- Select Additional Content.
- Choose your company logo and background.
5. Generate Initial Video
- Click Generate Video.
- Review the preview video.
- Confirm to proceed with generation.
- You'll receive a confirmation message and an email when the video is ready.
6. Review and Create Language Variants
- Click the link in the email or navigate to the In-Progress tab.
- Preview your video.
- When satisfied, click Generate Language Variants.
- Choose to retain the same voice and actor options or customise for each language.
- Click Generate Videos.
- You'll receive another confirmation message and email upon completion.
Using Virtual Presenter Videos in Courses
Once generated, your videos can be incorporated into your training:
- Create a new course: Use the Add To New Course option directly from the Virtual Presenter flow.
- Add to existing course: Open any course, select Add Elements, and choose Intros from the available tiles.
Deleting Virtual Presenter Videos
Generated Videos
As generated videos may be utilised within a course, the option to delete these is available within the Learning in Progress table.
Navigate to Learning > In Progress > Content tab.
From this location, you can identify the desired video and select 'Delete' from the actions column. If the video has been used within a course, a warning message will be displayed indicating that the video cannot be deleted.
Please note that deleting videos will not restore any used minutes to your overall allocation.
Draft Videos
As these have not yet been generated, a small bin icon should be visible on the video tile.
Draft videos do not affect your minute allocation.
⚠️ Important Considerations
- Available Minutes: Your available generation minutes are displayed on the Virtual Presenter page. These are purchased in blocks of 100 or 200 minutes. Contact Customer Success to increase your allocation.
- Best Practice: Invest time perfecting your initial video in the default language before generating language variants. This ensures consistency and quality across all versions.
- Translation Review: We recommend having native speakers review translated versions to ensure the messaging aligns with your requirements and cultural expectations.
- Platform Access: Generated videos are only accessible within the platform and cannot be exported as separate files.
