Leaderboard
The Leaderboard feature is a powerful gamification tool that helps drive user engagement, increase platform adoption, and foster a sense of community through healthy competition. By showcasing top performers based on customisable metrics, leaderboards make progress visible and participation rewarding.
Why Leaderboards Matter
Gamification is a proven strategy to boost motivation and retention. Leaderboards contribute by:
- Recognising achievement: Publicly highlight top contributors.
- Encouraging participation: Friendly competition motivates users to stay active.
- Building community: Creates shared goals and a sense of belonging.
How to Enable Leaderboards (Risk Score must be enabled before you can enable the Leaderboard)
Step 1: Access Settings
- Log in to your Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Company Edit > Leaderboard.
Step 2: Leaderboard Settings
- Select relevant visibility:
- Admin Only
- Admin & End users
Step 3: Admin Settings
- Admin Visibility: Choose if the admin can view the full company or just those users within their department.
- End User Visibility: Choose if end users can view the full company or just those users within their department.
- Anonymise Leaderboard (Optional): Show the user their rank and score only.
- Department Exclusion (Optional): Select specific departments to exclude from leaderboard rankings.
Step 4: Save

How Users Are Ranked
Users are ranked based on the following performance metrics:
- Participation Points: Based on completion of assigned & optional courses. (This will include points earned from deleted courses, as the user legitimately acquired these points.)
- Risk Score: Individual risk score based on learning & phish interactions.
Leaderboard Rank = Participation Points ÷ Risk Score
Note: Leaderboards update rankings on a weekly basis.

To improve your position on the leaderboard:
- Complete all assigned content: Ensure that all mandatory training is finished.
