Best practice when formatting Privacy & Incident assessment guidance
We have introduced our enhanced formatting capability for Privacy and Incident Assessment guidance notes. This solution leverages a new editor to enable precise formatting.
When adding new questions and updating existing questions, guidance text of up to 2000 characters can be formatted to allow users to quickly follow instructions and guidelines leading to better responses being provided by end users.
Clicking on the 'Edit' icon (or when adding new questions) within the Privacy or Incident Assessment Creator will allow you to apply the following types of formatting:
- Bullet Points: Organise guidance into easy-to-read bullet points, ensuring clarity and quick comprehension.
- Paragraph Formatting: Structure guidance into coherent paragraphs for improved readability.
- Text Styling: Utilise 'bold' and 'underline' features to highlight critical information.
- Hyperlinks: Add clickable hyperlinks to guide users to additional resources, websites or supporting materials, such as videos available within the MyCompliance Library.
- Top tip: After copying/pasting a hyperlink into the guidance, double click the link > Target > Select New Window > OK. This will ensure that, once the link is clicked, the website will open within a new browser window, rather than navigating the user away from the assessment.
