Key Features of MyCompliance Teams App 4.0

  • Continuation of Existing Features: Enjoy all the functionalities available in MyCompliance Teams App 3.0, ensuring consistency and familiarity.
  • Notifications: Stay informed with timely alerts similar to Teams chat notifications or channel notifications. These will appear briefly in the bottom-right corner of your screen and will also be added to the Activity feed within Teams.
  • Viewer Discretion: Videos within the app can now be viewed in all languages, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
  • If admins have opted to hide the Mandatory/Optional column on their home page within the platform, this preference will also be reflected in the app.

Upgrade Instructions

Depending on your current version, and upon your previous installation path, please follow the appropriate steps below to upgrade to MyCompliance Teams App 4.0.

  • Previous installation via Microsoft Store: Simply navigate to the Microsoft Store and opt to upgrade the existing MyCompliance Teams App to the new version. You might find the following information (from Microsoft) useful on the update process:
  • Previous installation via a Manifest File: Uninstall the current version of the app and then search for 'MyCompliance Teams App' in the store. Follow the process to install the new app.

Please note:

  • Admin approval may be required. As this update leads to changes in app permissions, depending on the settings you have, admin approval may be necessary. Admins can view and accept the permissions in the Teams Admin Center, under 'Permissions'.
  • Consent Approval: Once admin approval is completed, end users will be sent the consent approval. Users are required to provide consent for new app versions once only. Admins cannot forcibly update an app for a user if consent is not provided. Please communicate this to your users to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Acceptance of Changes: All users targeted with notifications must first accept the new changes within the MyCompliance Teams App to receive relevant notifications. Failure to do so may result in missed notifications.
  • In order to start receiving notifications, users should simply open the app to refresh it.
