How to prevent the hard deletion of SCIM users after they've been disabled
When SCIM users are disabled in AAD, a deletion request is sent 30 days after the disable request is received.
When the account is deleted, the user account—along with all associated audits—will be permanently removed.
- If you wish to prevent your users from being deleted, you must deselect the Delete option.
Follow the steps below to locate this setting within the MyCompliance User Provisioning application.
- Open the Enterprise Application within AAD.
- Navigate to the Provisioning tab.
- Select Edit attribute mappings.
- Under the Mappings section, select Provision Azure Active Directory Users.
- Deselect the Delete option.
Click Save to apply the update. This will stop any further deletion requests from being sent from your AAD to MetaCompliance.
⚠️Note: This control is applied at the application level. Once disabled, MetaCompliance will not receive deletion requests for any of your users. It cannot be configured for specific individual accounts.
