MetaLearning 6.0 - What is the difference between the Fusion template types?

Fusion templates are categorised into 3 different types, i.e. 'Draft', 'Your' and 'System', with each type being determined by what State the template is currently in.

  • To locate your Fusion templates, navigate to Learning > Fusion Template Creation > Create.
  • All available templates will be visible on the 'Course Templates' table on the second half of the screen.

1. 'Draft' templates

Draft templates are those that you, or other admins within the organisation, are currently working on.

  • These are editable and can be updated by clicking View.

Actions available for 'Draft' templates

  • Delete: As Draft templates have not yet been finalised, and are currently not yet targeted to users, it is possible to delete them if they are no longer required.
  • Preview: If the Draft template has all required elements in all selected languages added, you will be able to preview the course to understand how this will appear to an end user. If an element is currently missing a language, or if your Standalone Quiz does not have all required questions & answers in all relevant languages, you are subsequently unable to preview the course until this has been added.
  • Save: Templates can be saved as many times as required, e.g. as and when any new updates have been made.
  • Finish: When the template has been fully populated with all relevant elements, you can proceed to finish the course.
    • Once Finish has been selected, you will then be able to publish the template as a course to your users.

2. 'Your' templates

These are templates that have been finalised and which are either already published to users or ready to be published.

Actions available for 'Your' templates

  • Preview: If this template type has all required elements in all selected languages added, you will be able to preview the course to understand how this will appear to an end user. If an element is currently missing a language, or if your Standalone Quiz does not have all required questions & answers in all relevant languages, you will be unable to preview the course until this has been added.
  • Copy: This action allows you to take a copy of the template and to make any required amendments without impacting the initial version.
  • Publish: As the template has been finalised, you can now proceed to publish this as a course to your end users.

3. 'System' templates

System templates are those pre-built templates that are included when you purchase MetaLearning. They have been created by our Learning & Development team and cover a range of topics including phishing, social engineering, remote working, GDPR and more. They can be used as is, or you can take a copy and make any required amendments.
