There are six steps in creating and publishing a phishing simulation:

1. Phish Details
2. Phish Content
3. Email Attachments
4. Learning Experience
5. Exit Summary
6. Target

1. Phish Details

• Once within this section, you need to complete the below information:

• Name: Populate the name of the simulation here.
• Choose Language(s): Choose the language required from the drop-down. For multi-language phish, you can select multiple languages.
• Keywords: By default, these are already populated, but you can also add your own.
• Description: Add a description of the simulation.
• Save as Test Data: This will omit this phish from the Phish Reporting. See also: 'Save as Test Data' – What does this do?
• Manage in Campaign: This will allow the phish to be populated within a Campaign with other content, e.g. course and policies. See also: How do I add content to a Campaign? (This option is not available when multiple languages have been selected.)
• Anonymous Responses: Selecting this will anonymise the identity of the users from the Reporting. See also: Anonymise the Phish Reports
• Categories: A category must be selected. If a category is not available, it will need to be created via How to create Categories

Learning Experience

The next area in creating a phish is adding a Learning Experience (LE). 

The Learning Experience functionality offers the on-point training which the user will receive if they either click, enter data into a form, or download the embedded attachment. 

There are 4 types of Learning Experience: 

1. HTML
2. Video
3. PDF
4. Upload Own PDF Learning Experiences 

1. HTML

Some of the HMTL Learning Experiences can be customised, and the following article explains how to do this: How to customise a HTML Learning Experience

• If you choose to customise an HTML Learning Experience, you also have the option to embed a Nano video within it; simply select Attach Nano.

2. Video

You can include one of our Nano videos as part of the Learning Experience by selecting the 'Video' option:

• Choose either Select to add the video, or Preview to watch in advance.

3. PDF

To opt for a PDF Learning Experience, simply select PDF:

• Now, choose the 'Select' button. (If you wish to preview the Learning content, simply select the 'Preview' button.)

Company Logo

The Company Logo used within the simulation can be changed to your organisation's own corporate logo by choosing Select File.

Button Text

This is a mandatory field and must be populated with text. The inputted text is what users will see at the end of the Learning Experience as they click to show they have completed the content. 

Exit Summary 

The fifth step in creating a phish is to add an Exit Summary. 

• Once the user has completed the Learning Experience, this summary will pop up to further inform them that they have been involved in a phishing simulation. This text used is editable. 

• You also have the option to include a Disclaimer; the text used will appear within the Learning Experience and is editable. 

• Note: Some elements noted above are not currently available when sending a phish in multiple languages.
