On a phish email, what registers an HTML attachment as ‘opened’?
When an HTML attachment is included as part of a phish email, it will appear to the user simply as that - an HTML attachment.
- Once delivered, the user will be prompted to open or save the attachment and, if they do either, this action will be reflected in Reporting.
- (Note: This is optional depending on the customer's email security settings.)
- The user will also then be directed to the relevant Learning Experience, and this again will be recorded in Reporting.
- Note: You must still attach a separate Learning Experience to continue. If a user clicks on the link in the email body, but not on the attachment itself, they will also be directed to this standard Learning Experience.
