What are 'Email Attachments' in phishing simulations?
When creating a phish simulation email, you are presented with the option to include an attachment.
This adds an additional layer of challenge to a phishing simulation, as it tests whether the user would interact and download a document that is attached to a phishing email.
There are two attachment types to choose from:
- Word Document
- HTML
(Note: You cannot upload or select a certain HTML or Word Document as these are not a physical attachment. These are trackable and are in-built to the platform.)
- Attachment Name: The name of the attachment is to be populated within here, e.g. a name that is relevant to the organisation.
- Attachment Type: 'Word Document' or 'HTML' will appear in the drop-down.
