FAQ Phish update April 2026
Our most advanced Phish experience is leaving Beta and will become your default option starting from 16th April bringing a faster, smarter, and more intuitive campaign creation process.
You’ll still have access to the legacy version until it’s retired on the following dates:
• 14th May (US & Canada)
• 19th May (all other regions)
After these dates, all users will have access to the new version only -
Key Takeaway: Please use “Phish Creation” to create any new Phish campaigns going forward.
Why the update?
We gathered feedback from customers using the Phish module and used it to enhance the overall layout. These improvements create a more logical, seamless, and efficient process for building and publishing Phish simulations to your staff.
The new experience is designed to make campaign creation faster, simpler, and more intuitive, with:
• A cleaner, modern interface
• Step-by-step guidance throughout the workflow
• Improved performance and faster launch times
• Enhanced preview and scheduling capabilities
• Streamlined navigation to reduce complexity
How was the phish creation experience refined during the original beta phase?
During the beta phase, we analysed real-world usage of the updated phish creation experience and incorporated additional customer feedback to refine the setup flow ahead of full release.
Key refinements included:
- Clearer pairing between email templates and learning experiences, making it easier for Admins to understand how campaign content links to outcomes
- A simplified, one-click process for adding Red Flag learning experiences, now integrated directly into the standard learning experience selection flow
- Improved clarity at key decision points throughout campaign setup
- Improved alignment with common administrative workflows, including previewing, archiving, and versioning phish campaigns
- Attached forms now use a customised approach by default, replacing the previous generic form templates
Additional usability enhancements ensure important actions, messages, and selections remain clearly visible and accessible during creation.
Together, these refinements result in a more intuitive, predictable, and efficient phish creation experience.
How do I create a Phish now?
The overall process fundamentally remains the same, but we’ve made key improvements to help you work faster and more efficiently.
You can now quickly choose or create a Phish template and schedule it to be published at the exact date and time you need, meaning:
⦁ Campaign creation is now 31% faster overall
⦁ Publishing from an existing template is over 40% faster
These enhancements mean less time setting up and more time focusing on engaging your staff with effective simulations.
Will this update affect any Phish campaigns I’ve already set up in the older version?
Any campaigns set up in the older version will still run as planned and can still be edited before they are sent
Will any reporting be affected? (old campaigns v new)
No, all reporting will remain the same and you will still be able to view the reports for both old and new campaigns as expected.
Will I still be able to view / replicate my older campaigns in the new version?
Yes, you will still be able to view older campaigns from the Phish in Progress page and will still retain the option to create a new campaign based on previously sent phish.
Are there any changes to allowlisting requirements to avoid false positives?
Standard allowlisting recommendation remains the same (our Internal Support team are at hand to provide further guidance where appropriate) But our recent shared global IP exemption list has greatly reduced the risk of false reporting positives.
Key updates to terminology/ location changes:
- Phish content – Simulation
- Email attachment option merged within Simulation step
- Target – Launch Set Up
- Reports anonymisation, Risk score enablement, campaign scheduling, categories now moved to Launch Set Up section
- Scheduling and targeting features now housed in a more logical workflow
