1. Rulebase - How do I create a Rule?

  • To begin, create a new Rule, click Workflows > Rulebase > New Rule:

  • You will be navigated to the 'Rule Generation' page. Enter a name for the Rule, then within Group 1, you can set up your first Rule.
  • Within the 'Object' drop-down option, you can select the relevant register (for example, Processing Activity), if required, and within the 'Object Field' drop-down (for example, Profiling of Individuals), you can select the relevant field that you want to set the Rule against. 

Next, you will need to select the Operator from the following options:

  • Contains - if the response selected for the Rule is contained within the response provided for the field, i.e. if the response is included alongside other responses.
  • Does Not Contain - if the response selected for the Rule is not contained in the response provided for the field, i.e. if the response is not included alongside other responses.
  • Does Not Equal - if the response selected for the Rule does not equal the response provided in the field.
  • Equals - if the response selected for the Rule equals the response provided, i.e. no other drop-downs are included alongside the response.

Finally, you need to select your Value, which is one of the drop-down options available in the selected register field.
