What is 'SCORM'?
SCORM is an acronym which stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model.
It is a set of technical standards for eLearning content, which defines communication between client-side content, e.g. an eLearning course, and a host system such as a Learning Management System, or LMS.
For example, one of the functions of SCORM is that when an eLearning course is started, and the learner then quits the course, SCORM Resume Data is sent to the LMS. This lets the LMS record the learner's progress, allowing them to pick up where they left off.
