Realistic Scheduling – Smarter Phishing Simulation Timing

Realistic Scheduling is now available! This feature enhances the authenticity of phishing simulations by allowing emails to be sent at randomised times within defined windows, making them harder to predict and more effective for training.

Key Features:

  • Immediate Delivery: Send phishing emails instantly upon campaign activation.
  • Start/End Date Minute Control: Set specific minutes for precise delivery timing.
  • Staggered Delivery: Define delivery hours and days; emails are sent at randomised times within that window.

Why It Matters:

  • Improved Realism: Reduces predictability and increases user engagement.
  • Faster Testing: Real-time preview reporting helps detect false positives quickly.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Supports urgent campaigns and tailored delivery windows.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Applies only to newly created phishing simulations.
  • End time is inclusive (e.g. if set to 17:00, delivery can occur until 17:59).

Phish Scheduling Process

1. Immediate Delivery

The 'Immediate delivery' feature allows for instant dispatch of phishing simulations, bypassing traditional scheduling or staggered delivery windows. This is particularly useful for testing or urgent campaigns where timing flexibility is critical.

When Immediate delivery is selected, the phishing email is sent immediately upon campaign activation.

⚠️ Note: Immediate delivery is not available for campaigns with more than 5,000 targets.

2. Start Date/End Date

Additionally, you can now set a specific minute on the start or end date, giving you more precise control over when emails are sent.

This allows you to send the Phish emails at a more random time to make it a more realistic experience.

3. Stagger

In addition to Immediate Delivery and setting Start/End Date controls, enhanced scheduling options are also available through the 'Stagger' feature.

  • You can configure specific delivery hours and days.
  • Phishing emails will be sent at randomised times within the defined window, making the simulation more realistic and less predictable.
  • Example: If you set the stagger window between 09:00 and 17:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the system will randomly assign delivery times within that range.

⚠️ Note: The end time is inclusive of the full hour. If the end time is set to 17:00, emails may be sent anytime between 17:00 and 17:59.
