Updates to our Learning Content: What’s changing and what’s new - October 2024

As part of our ongoing efforts to deliver the most relevant, accurate, and impactful training experiences, we regularly review the content within our training library. Based on our recent assessment, some of our existing modules will be retired and made end of life on November 29th, 2024.

Here’s a detailed overview of the changes.

Content Being Retired

  • Social Media Awareness: Are You Sharing Too Much Information on Social Media?

  • Miscellaneous Topics:

    2. Meltdown and Spectre...What We Know So Far
    3. Covid-19 Awareness: How to Spot a Fake Message About Covid-19 and How to Spot a Covid-19 Phish
    4. Back to the Office (both variants)

Interactive Content:

  • Various OWASP topics including:
    1. Broken Access Control
    2. Injection (Login, Unsubscribe, URL variants)
    3. Sensitive Data Exposure

After November 29th, this content will no longer be available; however, all audit reports associated with these modules will remain intact for your records.

What’s New? Recommended Alternatives

The good news is that all replacements for the retiring content are either already available or will be ready by the time the current content goes offline. We’ve ensured these updates are in place to provide the most relevant and up-to-date learning materials.

  • GDPR Training: New versions, such as What is GDPR? Version 2 and GDPR - Does it Apply to Me?, are already available.
  • AI Series: Fresh titles like AI and Phishing: The Sophisticated Approach and AI: Can You Really ‘Do it Yourself’? are ready to use. 
  • Security Threats: Updated content addressing Watering Hole threats (Version 2) and When Ransomware Strikes - 2023 Update are available.
  • OWASP 2021: A comprehensive update aligned with the latest OWASP Top Ten security risks.
  • Social Media Awareness: New insights in Are You Oversharing on Social Media?, is ready, covering personal and professional privacy concerns.

Since this is the first time we’re rolling out an update of this scale, we’re focusing on replacing the really old and outdated materials first to ensure that all our content meets current standards and best practices.
